Christmas Parties and Christmas Morning

Brooklynn was really into Christmas this year. We had a major break down on Christmas eve but Brooklynn is an amazing little girl and pulled herself together to have a great Christmas.

Emmett was more excited about the gifts then we were expecting! Brooklynn enjoyed Christmas when she was 18 months old but Emmett Loved it... Maybe he was just happier with the gifts we got him. Cars cars cars!!!

Brooklynn's favorite gift. It was too much for me to get to the store DT I wanted to get Brooklynn a cute wallet so Todd went to the dollar store for me, got this, and some fake money. We laugh that the $2 gift from a dollar store was her favorite gift from us.

Gunnie Bear

The dog has yet another ear infection and he is almost as fussy/demanding as the kids are when they're sick (he even woke us up last night crying).  Emmett feeding the dog his food and then telling me he needs more food because he's hungry. Also, I have muddy dog foot prints all over my kitchen floor. However, we love our dog because he puts up with even more than we do...Todd and I plus the kiddos. Brooklynn tells me daily that Gunner is her best friend and that she loves him. She reads to him, snuggles him, rides him and when I need to be back in Emmett's bedroom with him, it's Gunner that keeps Brooklynn from being scared.

Preschool

I was excited to be an assist parent at Brooklynn preschool at her last class before Christmas break. Here is a sneak peek into her time at preschool.

Christmas Cookie Decorating Parties

My kids were lucky enough this year to get invited to two cookie decorating parties. Very lucky actually since it was just not going to happen at our house. It's amazing how busy life can get with two little ones and how anything extra (ie Christmas gifts to buy, wrap etc) can make me feel totally overwhelmed. We really do appreciate all of our friends. I can't imagine Christmas without some SUGAR!!

The first party was at the Russell's house. We went to decorate cookies and stayed... Emmett was having so much fun. This was a basically all boy party in a boys house so there were trains, balls and cars galore!!!

Emmett only wanted to eat the M&M's... and he had way way way too many too

Adrienne and Garrett sent us home with tons of amazing sugar cookies in a pretty Christmas tin. It was perfect. Brooklynn put about 1" of frosting on each cookie and as many sprinkles as she could fit and I loved them. Very tasty :)


The second party was at the Spaces' house with some of Brooklynn's best friends... friends since she was a baby.

These two (Miss B and Cammie) love the princess dresses...princess dresses, shoes and accessories were Brooklynn's big Christmas gift so I loved seeing her go for the princess dresses as soon as we walked in.

Emmett was very excited to find a car amongst the dolls and princess accessories.
