Halloween Costumes

Everything I dreamed of this year for Halloween costumes was crushed.  The blow?  Brooklynn is old enough to have an opinion and she happens to have a very strong one.  So off I went looking for Brooklynn her Minnie Mouse costume… However, all I could find were really expensive, cheap looking, Minnie Mouse dresses. So I decided I could sew something better. Here she is in all her glory.

Emmett, however, was all my choice still.  I couldn't resist but to have them match somehow.  Isn't he so cute?  He's Mickey Mouse.

After I picked up the supplies to make their costumes (and let me tell you finding Emmett’s was a nightmare) the next blow came. We found out about Todd's brain tumor. With his brain surgery I was busy, stressed and no longer wanting to make them their costumes. Thankfully, Grandma Frazee offered and they turned out great!!! Love em and so do the kids.

The kids made their debut in their costumes on Friday at Traverse City's Down Town Halloween Walk. It was cold and windy so Brooklynn had to wear a winter coat and Emmett needed to be bundled and protected from the wind (thankfully he slept in his car seat) After doing a little trick-or-treating we found our way into Simply Cupcakes for treats there.
