Thanksgiving Craft

We invited some friends over and did a Thanksgiving craft with them. We traced the kids' hands and made felt turkeys out of them on long sleeved shirts.

Emmett's hand looks big in the picture I took but I'm sure it will look better in pictures I share from Thanksgiving at G&G Frentners.

While we finished up the shirts...

the kids played hard... this is them taking a break.

This project is super cheap if you're interested in doing it. The shirts were $3 from Target and the felt was .25 per piece at Walmart. We were all able to use the one piece of brown felt that I had gotten. And we used washable fabric glue that I already had. I think the glue is about $2 at Joanns or Walmart.

I don't know the best way to do it but what I had us do was trace the kids' hand onto a piece of printer paper, then we cut the hand print out and pin it to the brown felt. We then glued the pieces onto the shirts. After we were all done I did sew around so that I knew they would hold to the test of 2 year olds and if I know Brooklynn we will wash and wear a few times over..but they would be fine with the glue only.
