A Wonderful Fathers Day

I want to thank my SUPER wife for helping Brooklynn and Emmett make this Fathers Day the best ever!!  Emmett was the most excited since he woke up at 6:00am and wanted to go play one-on-one with Daddy….but he didn’t last long, so at 7:00am daddy was blessed to be able to rock his little man and hold him in his arms in the rocking chair in the living room and watch the sun rise.  After an hour, he was back up and ready to go…  Brooklynn was up shortly after that and then mommy rounded out my favorite three people!!    My kids know me very well….Brooklynn got me some lime tortilla chips and two ‘special’ dips…..margaritaville conqueso and a fresh salsa.  We sampled a few chips and made a pact to try the dips after God’s House (aka Church at BayPointe).  Emmett got me stylish olive green aluminum water bottle complete with a locking top and a straw to reach all the way down to the last drop!!  I loved my gifts so much.

After that we attended the 11:00am church service at BayPointe.  It was a rocking morning for all the dads!!  They played The Dads Life youtube video and we all got a good chuckle with all the little subtleties.  Brooklynn got to move up to the three year old room and she had an awesome time.  She made me a real cool construction paper cutout of her hands with a quote of Happy Fathers Day (pics to come soon).  After the service we hung around for the Fathers Day grille out and games….the kids and I both had a good time.

As promised, we came home and tested out our chips and dips…..and we all loved them.  We packed up and headed to Grandpa Frentners and Great Papa Comptons.   We gave them their gifts and enjoyed some time visiting.

Overall, it was a wonderful day that reminded me of the wonderful family that I have and how much they mean to me.  Once Momma has some time, I am sure she will post some pictures of all our smiles!!

Love,

-One Proud Daddy

Also, as part of father's day weekend Todd took both kids by himself fishing (event put on by the Children's Museum). Todd kept sending me text saying "I was missing out" they were having such a great time. Brooklynn caught a "really big" fish to cook at home and both kids enjoyed lunch there and did an art project.
