Todd took Emmett's actual birthday off work and we took the kids on a 2ish hour tubing trip for the first time. I was super worried but the Platte River water was clear and shallow enough that the kids could have walked almost the entire way... and they did get off their tube and play a lot. I did not take my camera tubing with us but I did get it out once we got to the end of the tubing trip at the mouth of the Platte which flows into Lake Michigan were we played at the beach.
As you can see from all the people in the back ground (and we went way way down where there was a lot less people) floating down the Platte River was a great way to cool off on that hot mid week summer day.
Both kids want make tubing an annual even to celebrate Emmett's birthday.
